LIGHT OF LEARNING

Monday, October 17th, 2011

On the auspicious occasion of the Festival of Lights, I want to share some thoughts that I had penned down – on the Light of Learning.

Learning is synonymous with the word ‘Light’

Why?
Light is available so much around us.
It’s available in abundance in nature.
It’s available through human invented bulbs.
It’s available at flick of a button.

Still Why?
Learning is synonymous with the word ‘Light’

Is learning that easy?
Or is it that..

With the Lens of True Learning…
One feels inspired
One feels energized
One feels worthy of something

With the Lens of True Learning…
The Objects around him look brighter and cheerful.
The People around him look brighter and cheerful.
The Whole World around him looks brighter and cheerful.

With the lens of True Learning
I get a strong feeling to distribute my knowledge.
I want to share it with as many people as I can.
I want to change the thinking of the people around me.
I want to change the world as a better place to live!

But
Do I realize that even if I want to distribute the true Knowledge…
With true intention
With true commitment
I can’t.

Because knowledge can be distributed.
Learning cannot be.

Learning is like lighting your own lamp yourself.
Once lit, it has unlimited fuel, like the  Power of Sun.

Diwali is a reminder for us to attempt lighting that
Internal
&
Eternal
Light of Learning.

Happy Diwali !
